There are three different kinds of filters
with different levels of filtration and circulation speeds,
according to your needs.
Sand filters have a filtration quality of 20-40 micras,
and the circulation speed is 40-50m3/m2. Cartridge filters
have a level of filtration of 10-20 micras and their speed
is 2-3m3/h/m2; while diatoms filters filter 2-5 micras and
have a speed of 4-5m3/h/m2.

When you are choosing a filter, you
must think about these basic questions:
-The kind of filtration you want.
- Place available for the installation of the filter.
- Necessary stream / filtration speed.
Suggestions and advices:
- Sand and diatom filters need a direct access to a
drain.
- Cartridge filters can be installed in a small technical
room
- The water volume of your pool must be completely regenerated
in 5/6 hours.
- If the hardness of the water is very high, diatom
filters are not recommended.

How to choose a pump?
It must be chosen depending on the necessary water
stream, expressed in m3/h. It must not be overdimensioned
compared to the filter, as the quality would be
worse because of the speed of the water trough the
filtering material.
